John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado who specialized in folk music, has touched the hearts of millions. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in affection with Colorado and eventually relocated to Aspen. Denver's songs that he sang about his state brought many people to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver was by far one of the most well-known musicians who was a symbol of Colorado. Denver became the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Today he personifies the state for people worldwide. People you meet in other countries, like New Zealanders. They tell them "I come Colorado" and they say "I am from Colorado" and they instantly respond by saying Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time with folk bands and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff composed the track along with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver was introduced to an earlier version immediately, he realized the song could be a hit single. After performing the song at Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver recorded it just days from now.
